SOME THINGS ABOUT ME

Hello! my name is Muskan, I am an Indian. I was born in India but was brought up in Bangkok, Thailand. I have been in Bangkok since the age of 2. The first school I attended in Bangkok was St. Andrews, I studied the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) at that school. I then moved to Wells International School, and have been in that school since Kindergarten. Some of my skills include debating, organizing events, leading club meetings, fundraising, and event planning. I can speak 5 languages, they include English, Hindi, Thai, Spanish, and Sindhi. Some of my interests include reading books, helping people in poverty, and taking care of kids.  Accompany me in my journey through high school and how I develop my areas of Creativity (C), Action (A), and Service (S). I had applied for the AP Capstone program where I took the courses of AP Biology, AP Language and Composition, AP Calculus, AP Seminar, and AP Computer Science Principles. I received an AP Scholar award for my AP results. I took these 5 AP courses when I was in grade 10 and currently as a junior, I have taken the IB Diploma, which is a two year course. My higher level subjects are HL Chemistry, HL Language and Literature, and HL Business, and my standard level subjects are SL Analysis and Approaches, SL Physics, and SL Spanish. I have also finished quite a few standardised tests such as TOEFL by getting a score in the top percentile, 111/120 and the same for the UKVI EILTS exam, where I scored an 8/9. I am further applying for or even have applied for BMAT, UCAT, SATs, and looking forward to various other medical internships.

FUTURE PLANS

Since a young age, I have had the urge of knowing more about science. Science has always been my favorite subject and after being exposed to different branches in science, such as Chemistry, Physics, and Biology, I started realising that Science is more than just atoms and molecules. I was quite confused since science is such a vague topic to say to someone when someone asks what you want to pursue in the future. That was when I started taking a part in different types of internships related to science, such biochemical engineering, mechanical / biomedical engineering, and even medicine internships. After completing them, I realised that medicine is what I have always wanted to pursue and that it was something that interests me amazingly. In order for final assurance on whether I truly want to pursue that in the future, I applied for my first job which was not quite long ago, and I worked at a clinic because I wanted to see if I truly wanted to spend my entire life working as a doctor and enjoying it at the same time too, since I wouldn't want to do something that wouldn't let me enjoy my life. I've always wanted my profession to be more than a profession and more of a passion. I worked under the supervision of a well known doctor who has been the owner and runner of a clinic for quite a few years now, and working there taught me the hard work required to earn money and I received my first wage. After finishing it, I realised that I truly enjoyed that job and wouldn't mind working as a doctor for my entire life. That is when I finalised my decision and no matter what anyone says about the time span of university studying, or the difficulty in getting a job as a doctor, I will achieve what I have planned for myself and my life.
